Junior Health Sciences Academy ‘Early Careers Event’ 2nd and 3rd of March
Created : 26 Feb 2021, 2:37 PM
Archived : 29 Apr 2021, 12:00 AM
A virtual event, the Junior Health Sciences Academy ‘Early Careers Event’ hosted by the Health Sciences Academy (HSA) has been organised for the 2nd and 3rd of March to provide information on careers in health for Transition Year (TY) students in the Midwest. The HSA realises that students cannot come to hospitals or other clinical settings for work experience so we have created this innovative event to showcase healthcare as a career for students. In a series of short videos, and live presentations, students will hear from healthcare staff working in hospital and community settings, describing their day, their career journey and giving advice for anyone interested in pursuing healthcare as a career. Students in UL and academic staff will also share their experiences and live Q&A sessions will allow students to ask questions. All registration information has been sent to the schools and students link with their TY Coordinator as participants must have parental consent to join. Please see attached the agenda for the event and you can visit www.healthsciencesacademy.ie to read more about it.
