65 Roses Day- Cystic Fibrosis
13 Apr 2018
Today is 65 Roses Day which is one of the main fundraising days for Cystic Fibrosis. 65 Roses is how some young children learn to say 'Cystic Fibrosis'. In order to mark this day and raise awareness our 1st Year students took part in a 'Fitness Trail', linking in with our Active Schools Week. Students were given clues in order to work out a location around the school which would lead to a letter. Students had to use these letters to figure out the mystery word which was 'Cystic Fibrosis'. Also when the students completed this challenge every student attempted a skipping challenge as they aimed to skip 65 times in order to mark 65 Roses Day. A big thank you to all 1st Year students who participated in the event and also to our 3rd Year students Laura O'Brien, Keelyn Conway and Ciara Doyle who organised and ran the event. See Gallery for images of all participating 1st Years, winning teams and students attempting the skipping challenge.
