Young SVP Tree Giving

As part of their befriending initiative, our Young SVP committee gifted a Christmas tree to Ros Aoibhinn Nursing Home in Bunclody, on Wednesday the 12th of December. The committee got first years to put their creative skills to use, as they made hand-made decorations for the tree, with a Christmas message included for the residents of the Nursing Home. A prize was provided for the students who produced the best two decorations; congratulations to our prize winners Kate Murphy (VI) and Kinga Batko (VI). We would also like to offer a huge thank you to 'Wheelocks Christmas Trees' for kindly donating a beautiful Christmas tree to the cause. This small gift giving activity reminds us all that Advent is a time for giving hope, peace and joy to others. as opposed to just giving money or material presents.
