PE XPO

On the 6th of March a number of Transition Year students travelled to DCU to compete in the PE XPO. The PE XPO involves students researching PE related topics that they are interested in. The students spent a large amount of time and effort researching their chosen topics and ensuring their projected was well presented on the day. Unfortunately no prizes were won but all groups were commended for their effort. Transition Year students next year will also get the opportunity to enter this competition and any students that would be interested can start thinking about project titles. Students and their titles were: Whether the Weather Matters? Ciara McCabe, Katie Bates, Joan Maher, Barry O'Toole and Matthew Ging. How Families Influence Participation in Sport? Emma Kinsella, Emma Mulvihill and Eimear Doyle. How Mental Health Effects Sports Participation and Performance? Martha Dunne, Jack Ring, Lorcan Doyle and Brian Murphy. The Variable Results of First Year Beep Test Scores 2016-2019. Oisin O'Ceallaigh, Tomas Kirwan, Ronan Dillon and Ciaran Regan. How Nutrition Effects Injury Prevention and Recovery? Kerri Doyle-Kinsella, Norah McGinty, Troy Kinch-Randall and Alan Murphy.
