5th year history students in Derry today. The students had a guided tour of the city walls with a focus on contemporary history. They also visited the Apprentice Boys Memorial hall, learning about the Siege of Derry. Some relaxation time tonight with bowling and on to Belfast tomorrow!
World Book Day

BCS will celebrate World Book Day on tomorrow Friday, March 7th.
Students are encouraged to dress as their favourite book character for the chance to win a prize! This year's theme is 'Read Your Way'. We look forward to seeing your creativity!
Students who chose to not dress up are not permitted to wear their own clothes. 
Bus Eireann

Bus Eireann have opened up their school bus application.
 
 
The closing date for interested parents/guardians to submit applications is the 25th of April 2025.  New routes can be added or existing routes amended if there is enough interest so it is worth registering.
Parents/guardians who want to add another child to the bus will need to sign them up.
 
The poster attached shows the benefits of using the bus by breaking down the driving costs verses school bus costs.

Our debating team took part in the ACCS Debate Competition today against Pobalscoil na Tríonóide, Youghal. Well done to  the team for a great debate.

John Lonergan has attended our school as a guest speaker over recent years. He is in Clogheen on Friday the 7th of March which may be suitable for some people to attend.
CPR training

A large number of our TY students completed CPR training before mid term with the remaining students training in the next couple of weeks. It is an important skill for anyone to learn and will enable students to help if needed. Well done to the students.
U16 County badminton
