After the class meeting this morning, Ms. Harney turned on the pink candle on our advent wreath. This pink candle represents Joy. It reminds Christians of the great joy shown by the angels when they announced the birth of Jesus to the poor shepherd out in the desert. Our advent wreath and display was arranged by the Ethos Committee in the school. It is on display in the foyer at the DayBreak entrance. A prayer service, led by Ms. J. Burke, is taking place every Monday, in the sacred space, until the Christmas break.
