LCA Enterprise Task

Well done to the students in 5A who ran very successful bake sales on Thursday and Friday of last week with some very impressive products on sale! They were also busy on Friday delivering goodie bags anonymously to students and staff members throughout the school.

Both activities were part of their Enterprise Task in Vocational Preparation and Guidance. 

After the Easter holidays, students will complete the report on their task and will prepare for their interview by an external examiner.

Congratulations again for organising and running such a successful event.
1st Year and 6th Year, year group photos

Reminder for 1st year and 6th year students and parents. A photographer will be in school tomorrow morning to take the whole year group photo for 1st and 6th year. Please wear your full school uniform and correct black footwear for the photo. If you have PE later in the day, time will be given for you to change into your PE gear in the changing rooms before PE. Anyone not in full school uniform will not be in the year group photo. Thank you, Mr. Mann
1st Year students win Leinster Boxing Titles

First year CPC students Jamie Jacob and Oisin Mulhern have just won their Leinster championship boxing titles and have now qualified for the nationals in April. Well done to both students. Huge achievements.
Seachtain na Gaeilge

Dia daoibh a chairde, the múinteoirí Gaeilge anseo i CPC want to share some resources with the school community to help gach duine practise the cúpla focal sa bhaile for Seachtain na Gaeilge!
 
Leigh Anois is an audiobook which will help with pronunciation, you can choose which dialect you would like to listen to.
 
Gaschaint is a website with frásaí and focail go leor on many different topics to help you add in some Gaeilge to your daily routine.
 
Foclach is the Irish version of Wordle.

No Saturday Study

Huge congratulations to Ryan Sheridan in 3A who was recently awarded St Patrick’s Athletic under 15 Player of the Month award for February.

Well done to Tomás, Alex, Kieran and Ronan who created this fabulous mural for room 26 with their art teacher Ms. Murphy. It is based off the work of illustrator Fred Blunt and we think they did a super job!!
Reminder for all TY students

A reminder to all our TY students to give some attention to their plans for next year. What course are you choosing? What are your subject preferences?

If selecting subjects, 7 preferences must be entered for each student. There is no notification/message sent when you submit your preferences so please don't worry about that.

Remember to look at all the information you have, including the LCE subject result guidance on your CAT feedback. 

We will be monitoring the system and will get in touch if something has gone wrong. Preferences must be in before midnight on Tuesday.

Application forms for LCA are available from Ms. Mills.

For students taking the Leaving Certificate Established programme, subject preferences are now open for your son/daughter to indicate the subjects they would like to study for Leaving Certificate.

Please log in to VsWare (parents/guardians) and select your student.

Select Student Options, read the instructions and select subject preferences with your son/daughter from the drop down menus.

Make sure to click Confirm when finished.

Please remember it is vital that you choose a subject for all spaces. Incomplete forms will not be accepted.

The order of your preferences is important, please consider carefully the subjects you most want to do. Preference number 1 is the subject you most want to do etc.

This is not a race, entering preferences quickly does not impact at all on getting a subject so please take your time but be sure to enter preferences by midnight on Tuesday March 19th.

Incomplete subject preferences will be completed on your behalf.
