Huge thanks to Eugene Moriarty for addressing Students and Staff of St. Michael’s College this morning Wednesday 23rd May before he set off on another stage of the RÁS. Eugene had competed in 21 RÁS Tailteann. He is a fantastic role model for our Students.

Green Schools Flag Raised

Former minister Jimmy Deenihan today helped raise the Green Schools Flag with Mrs. Murphy, Mr. Mulvihill and Mr. Hassett. This is a second Green Flag for St. Michael’s College, making it one of the first secondary schools in Kerry gain such an accolade. Well done everyone!

Congratulations to all student award winners who were acknowledged this morning. A huge thanks to our special guest speaker, Ger Mulvihill, past pupil. Thanks also to our sponsor Sean Heaphy of SPAR Bridge Road, and Tony Behan for adjudicating our Literary Awards.

Padraic McCarthy finished 3rd in the shot put with a throw of 11:57. Sean Keane finished 3rd in Junior hammer with a throw of 32:20. Louis O’Connell finished 4th in the 100m, in a tight race at the finish line. Sean Mahoney finished 4th, in the long jump with 5.66.
