The ethos of Children of the Digital Age- A Guide for Parents is the development of a Protected Digital Citizen,, with a developed Digital Personality, in a Digital World. The presentation is a fully comprehensible, up to date multi-media Powerpoint delivered by a First Class Honours UCD Master of Sciences Graduate in Forensic Computing and Cyber Crime Investigation and current Msc Cyberpsychology Researcher- Mr. Jason O'Mahony MSc. Dyslexia Awareness Week focuses on how we as Teachers and Parents can best support our Students with Dyslexia. Teachers have received Factsheets on strategies/ methodologies to help support students with Dyslexia in their classroom. Parents are invited to download "How parents can support the student with dyslexia" and "Study tips for the student with dyslexia" from the following Website: www.dyslexiacourses.ie/index.php/downloads. St. Michaels College is promoting an upcoming Free Family Programme; The Strengthening Families (12-16 years ) Programme will rolled out by the Listowel Family Resource Centre this September. The programme is for parents/carers and their Teen and it is seen as a hugely successful programme for parents and their teenager to look at issues such as communication, promoting positive behaviour, substance misuse, coping with anger to mention just some of the topics. Apologies, there are 2 errors on the 2nd Year Booklist for 2017.2018, Science should read 'Essential Science' and Business should read ' Get Started', your son should have these books from 1st year and they are 3 year books.
