Christmas Festive Day on Friday 16th December in aid of the Peter Mc Verry Trust. Students are asked to wear a festive item such as a Christmas jumper, hat or headband and we’ are asking students to donate €2 to this worthy cause. Our 1st Year students are busy making Christmas cards that will be delivered to the Peter Mc Verry Trust in time for Christmas along with the funds raised from our Festive Day. Dear Parents/Guardians of 6th yr students, Please remind your 6th yr student to continually check the 6th yr Careers Information TEAM where up to date Career and College related information for 6th yr students is constantly posted. This is an important source of information for you also as parents and guardians so do keep checking the TEAM. There may be deadlines for your child to meet, forms to be filled or other actions necessary for applications to further education and college which students need to be up to speed with. Please assist your 6th yr child with their CAO application at the moment - open the account €30 and list courses in order of preference. Dear Parents, Please see information about this Parenting Plus -Special Needs Programme to Support Parents A practical evidence-based course for parents of adolescents with an intellectual disability - please contact Bridie Clancy (086)3807917 The Parents Plus Special Needs Programme has been developed in partnership with parents of adolescents with an intellectual disability and professionals working with families. This is the first programme of its kind developed in Ireland. The focus of the programme is to support parents in managing issues that are common for families who are raising a teenager who has an intellectual disability. €580 raised from the Bake Sale

Thanks to all the TY students who organised the bake sale in aid of "Wells of Life"". They raised €580 for the charity. Thanks to all the bakers, there was a fabulous spread of cookies, brownies, lemon squares, rocky road, Christmas tree rice krispie buns, flap jacks and cupcakes to mention a few. Thanks to the students and parents who supported this initiative.

Dear Parents & Guardians, The CAO is now open for application. Please go to www.cao.ie and assist your 6th yr son or daughter to open their account ( at a cost of €30) if they are hoping to go to college in Ireland using Leaving Cert. points. * Please see www.cao.ie/?page=video&bb=parents - for information on the application and offer process and see the attached PDF presentation also which has been given to all 6th yr students in recent weeks. *Accounts must be opened before Feb 1st 2023 but it is strongly advised to open them now and add some courses to the lists. *Students can apply for 20 courses and must research each course thoroughly before adding it to their list. *COURSES MUST BE LISTED IN ORDER OF PREFERENCE - i.e the course they really want goes in place number 1 and so on down the list - not necessarily the course with the highest points but what your child really wants to study. Please note if your child is applying for either the DARE or HEAR schemes - (details on www.cao.ie) - they must tick a box on their CAO application before Feb 1st - this will link to the application forms for these two schemes which also have deadline dates for completion and submission to the CAO.
