2nd year students enjoyed an apple today in business class as we watched a clip from Ear to the Ground about The Apple Farm in Cahir a successful family business. This highlighted the importance of buying Irish and import substitution.

Any 6th year student that still wishes to apply to CAO must call to Ms Moore at 8.50 tomorrow morning to make an appointment. Students applying for DARE must complete their section A form online this week. Details on www.cao.ie and www.accesscollege.ie. Students exempt in Irish/French/German must ensure that an NUI Exemption form www.nui.ie and other college exemption forms are filled out ASAP. Reminder. # restricted courses need to be applied for before Feb 1st deadline. See www.cao.ie for details. FETAC applications also need to be completed. Arrange an appointment if you wish to apply for this pathway. Note: UCAS applications have been sent and references have been completed. Track your application on www.ucas.co.uk (Track). Congratulations to our Age 15 and under Handball team who travelled to Tucson, Arizona to compete in the Handball Association National 4 Wall Championships recently. Accompanied by coach Bro Finbarr Spring OSA, the team returned home with a trove of medals. Full report on school website.

Senior Ladies Footballers

Our senior ladies footballers exited the Munster A Championship today at semi final stage when they lost to an impressive Loreto Clonmel side. The girls played very well and fought valiantly to the very end. Very proud of all the girls especially the 5 6th years who have been dedicated to the sport since first year.

We are delighted to be involved Youthquake 2020 a radio drama project that has been developed by WLR and TY students. Today was Day 1 of the project were Liam & Aoibhin from WLR came to the school and worked through scripts with the students.

Our senior hurlers progress onto the semi final of the Munster championship after a fantastic win today against Castletroy College today. It was a great team performance all round especially in the second half! Well done lads!
