Please see link. There are now opportunities in some leading universities for students to attend a plc and finish out in university. UCC and WIT (SETU) are some of the leading universities involved. No worry about points and a degree can still be obtained. Transition Year
On Tuesday 10th January we were delighted to welcome Professor John Wenger, Director for the Centre of Research on Atmospheric Chemistry at UCC and PHD student Roisín Byrne to speak to 2 of our TY classes. A device measuring the air quality was fitted to the school building outside a classroom window and is plugged in so the air quality was monitored over the past 2 months. This is to assist in a purple air project being carried out in UCC. John and Roisín gave a fascinating talk about the quality of air we breath and the effects it can have on health.
