The U16 team qualified for the Plate final this week with a win away to Athlone CC.  Holy Family started the game strong, building towards a 10 point lead by half time.  Holy Family were in control throughout the third quarter, however, Athlone finally turned the momentum in the fourth quarter, getting the game back to within three points with thirty seconds remaining on the clock.  The stronger Holy Family side were able to dominate possession in the final moments of the game, culminating in a narrow win in a pulsating game.  They now face St. Pauls Monastrevin on Tuesday 31st in the first U16 final appearance for the school in some years.

We have seen a very significant increase in the usual winter viral infections. This includes an increase in flu, RSV and now Covid-19. This is because we are all mixing together more.

We would like to thank you for supporting the dissemination of these important messages and thank the whole school community for their efforts in following public health advice. As schools and other activities re-open it is timely to remind the school community of the key measures which are in the letter attached.
