As part of their Disability and Inclusion programme, 4M set out to observe and investigate access and lack of access for those who are visually impaired and physically disabled. This assessment of access included our own school environment as well as the local area. Students from 4M are pictured with members of DESSA (Disability Equality Specialist Support Association) , NAG (Newbridge Access Group) and KARE who gave them a fantastic insight into the work that these organisations are doing in Newbridge.

Great day out on Sunday in CoilÓg Equestrian Centre for HFSS Equestrian. An unfortunate overall team score of 4 faults left the girls out of the jump off, but fantastic riding shown by all. Some fantastic rounds also jumped in the individual 90cm competitions. Keep up the good work!
ValenMINEs Day in HFSS

We were speaking the languages of love and self-love on Monday in HFSS as students and staff dressed in red and pink to celebrate ValeMINEs Day. 1st and 2nd year students wrote messages of positivity, love and encouragement in Spanish, German, French and Irish which they posted on the lockers of their classmates and friends. TY Spanish engaged in “cita a ciegas” (blind date) and mi media naranja (my other half). Great fun was had by all. This year in the HFSS, we are reclaiming and renaming it ValenMINES DAY and encouraging a day of self-care. Self-care is anything you do to take care of yourself and research suggests that self-care promotes many positive health outcomes, such as fostering resilience, living longer, and becoming equipped to manage stress Feliz San Valentín Lá Fhéile Vailintín sona daoibh Bonne Fête de Saint Valentin Frohe Valenstinstag

The App is now the school’s main communications channel and administration processing platform for parents/guardians and students. It provides a single touch point where all of the school’s published news and information can be quickly and instantly accessed through your phone. Many of our traditional paper-based forms have been digitised and parents/guardians must use these forms going forward as we will no longer have the processes in place to handle paper forms. Forms include Absentee, Late Notes, Permission To Leave Early, Consent Forms and Notes from Parent. These changes will help us achieve GDPR compliance, reduce our carbon footprint and streamline our administration work.
