The Parents' Association have asked me to inform you that they will hold their rescheduled annual AGM on Thursday 22nd October at 7.45 pm. All parents are invited to attend this online meeting. The Parents' Association are always looking for new members to get involved in any capacity to assist in their work to support the school. 1st year subject preferences through VsWare - important

Dear Parent/Guardian, earlier this week you will have received an email with full instructions on completing subject preferences for your son/daughter through VsWare. Many thanks to all of you who have submitted preferences so promptly. A reminder that preferences must be completed by 1st December at the latest. If no preferences are inputted then they will be assigned for you. Remember that all 7 preferences must be provided. Simply adding a top three for example will result in the remainder being completed for you and may result in your son/daughter being offered a subject they would not have ranked highly. Dear Parents/Guardians, On 23rd September an email was sent to the primary contact we have on file but is relevant to both parents/guardians where this applies. The email invited nominations from parents/guardians to go forward for election to the incoming Board of Management of Cross and Passion College. I received the name of one nomination from a number of parents. I am still seeking a second nomination as there will be two parent nominees on the Board of Management. I am attaching the documents sent with the original email: 1. A letter explaining the process 2. SciFest Award winner

You may remember back in August that I shared the fantastic news that Aideen Stein (3rd year) won a number of awards in the SciFest competition for her project (an App that she made that scans household food products to determine if they are suitable for a pet to consume). Yesterday, together with members of the Science Club and Aideen's mentors, Ms Doyle and Ms Higgins, I was able to present Aideen with the trophies she won along with prizes and a certificate of achievement. This is a fitting reward for the work Aideen has put into her project and the fact that she won three different awards is testament to the high standard of her work. Congratulations Aideen - and continued success to the Science Club. Sincere thanks to Ms Doyle and Ms Higgins for their dedication in helping the students and giving so generously of their time.
