Cross & Passion Parent’s Association Annual Bursary Application Criteria Bursary applications must be: • From current students of the school. • For a purpose that will benefit the school community. Your project must also meet the following criteria: • The application must relate to an activity that will conclude within the school year. A single bursary will be awarded once a year. This may be to an individual or a distributed to several individuals. The Application Process 1. Complete the application form 2. Tell us about your project Fill out your application form, telling us about your project. 3. Send in your application Submissions must be scanned and emailed to crossandpassionpa@gmail.com. 4. Applications are reviewed by the Parent’s Association and the following criteria will be considered: • How the proposed project will benefit the school community. • What benefit might accrue to the local community. • How you as an individual/s will gain from the proposed project. 5. Funding Announced The Parent’s Association will contact all successful and unsuccessful applicants to provide feedback on the decision. 6. Community Photo and Presentation The successful applicant/s will be required to attend a presentation of the bursary and pose for photos.

The 5th Year students in association with the Student Council made a significant donation to Aoibheanns Pink Tie. Students presented Jean Flynn with the proceeds of recent fundraising activities. It was great to be able to associate ourselves in the memory of Ben Guidera.

Localise Volunteering Award

Students were delighted to welcome Sean from Localise Volunteering Awards for a workshop today. It was a wonderful opportunity to recognise and acknowledge the wide range of volunteering done by students in our school. Student created our Volunteering Charter today and will survey the rest of the students in our school about their volunteering.

Happy New Year to all staff, students and families. A reminder that in order to allow students and members of staff to attend mass at 9.30am in the parish, classes will begin immediately after mass at 10.10am on the 6th January 2020. Therefore the 10.01 class will commence at 10.10am on 6th January directly after mass. Supervision will be in place for students before this where required. Thank you, J Leonard, Principal.

Dear Parents/Guardians/Students, I would like to take the opportunity to thank you all for your continued support of the school this term. I hope that each one of you have a wonderful Christmas and get the opportunity to spend time with your loved ones. I look forward to a bright and prosperous new year. In order to promote the ethos of CPC and allow students and members of staff to attend mass at 9.30am in the parish, classes will begin at 10.10am on the 6th January 2020. TY students are looking forward to a fascinating insight into how a TV programme is made when they visit the RTE studios as audience members for Realta and Gaolta, a talent show hosted by Sile Seoige today. Thanks to Ms Murphy and Mr Stafford who are accompanying them.
