Crocheting for the Maternity Unit

Well done to our industrious students who took up crocheting in Leaving Cert Applied and Transition Year under the tutelage of our very talented SNA Marie Hanrahan. The girls have done fantastic work and are donating their work to the Maternity Hospital Limerick. All the girls have developed a great new talent and have shown great dedication in learning this new skill. Special mention has to made of Katie who completed 10 baby hats and blankets. And a huge thank you to Marie for all of the work she did with the girls.
LIT Virtual CAO Information Evenings

To assist students in learning more about LIT and our courses, we will host a series of VIRTUAL CAO INFORMATION EVENINGS across December and January as students prepare to make their CAO decisions. These evenings will give students an opportunity to listen to course presentations, chat to our staff online each evening and take a virtual tour of our 5 campuses in Limerick, Tipperary and Clare. Events include poetry readings, songwriting, film-making, interviews and even Leaving Cert tips! DARE Information Sessions in UL - 24th and 26th November

Disability Support Services at the University of Limerick will run two online DARE information sessions on November 24th and 26th 2020. These sessions can help students, parents, teachers and guidance counsellors with the application process. The sessions will include information on the application process, deadlines and information on required documentation. There will also be time for questions and answers. Session one will be held on November 24th 2020 at 5:15 until 6:30. Session two will be held on November 26th 2020 at 5:15 until 6:30. Both sessions can be accessed through the Disability Support Services Website. All sessions will contain the same information, so you only need to attend one of the sessions. A gentle reminder to students & parents/guardians - with the Level 5 restrictions in effect - mixing of teenagers from different households for 'sleepovers. (even for the 'Toy Show') should not be facilitated or encouraged. It is vital the health, safety and wellbeing of the entire School and local communities are protected as we approach the Christmas break. As always - your support is greatly appreciated. Thank You

Winners of the Mt. Everest Challenge

The winners of the Mt. Everest Challenge held before Christmas are St. Patricks who managed to reach the summit 197 times. They were closely followed by Ms. Brick's LC1 class who reached the summit 195 times. The winners of the teachers Group were Group C captained by our very own Edmund Hillary Mr. McElligott. They managed to reach the summit 273 times and were not so closely followed by Group D with 236 climbs. Well done to Mr. Hartnett for organising the Challenge. Watch this space for the next challenge.

A staff training day scheduled for December 10th has been postponed. School will go ahead for all students and staff on that Day. The training day will be rescheduled at a later date.
