Lots of activity in our JCSP Library on World Book Day.
We had staff and students dressing up as book characters, Book Bingo with lots of prizes, a whole school Drop Everything and Read and a Book & Bun event during lunchtime and a Crochet Workshop delivered by a 2nd year parent.

Our Flavours of the World Initiative started in the library on Friday. The foods on offer were from Brazil with Brigadeiro’s a particular delight! We look forward to our culinary trip around the world! Thank you to Ms Donoghue for organising and to Giovanna & her team for this cultural experience!

Great performance from our 2nd year team in the Dublin Volleyball League. After beating Sutton Park and Belmayne ETTS they are in the quarter-final of the league. Well done!

Our 1st year team lost their last match of the season against Woodbrook College, but two goals scored in the second half are a good sign for the next season
World Book Day Thursday 7th March 2024

Students are welcome to dress up as their favourite character from a book they have read on Thursday March 7th for World Book Day. Prizes are up for grabs for best costume over a few categories, so if you’re not in, you can’t win!
Students not opting for costume please wear uniform as normal.

Well done to the JCSP students who planted a Bird Cherry tree on the school grounds today & made a great tree book display in the library!

(Freetrees.ie) who have been distributing native Irish trees for free to schools to coincide with #NationalTreeWeek #GreenSchools
Thanks also to Joe for his help in finding the perfect spot for the tree and looking after it for us.

Congratulations to our 2nd year JCSP students who did a fantastic job at Make a Book in Swords today. They presented a book about lost crafts; Exploring Newgrange, Neolithic designs, woollen crafts and soap making. They also took part in a rap with all the other JCSP students present. Well done to all!

We are so proud of Hollie Hopkins, Maisie Connolly & Ruby Donegan who performed on Ireland AM this morning with Arkins Dance Academy @arkins.dance_
These students are representing Ireland in Prague in the Dance World Cup this June. They are raising money for this trip and we would support any of our school community who would like to donate on their go fund me page!
