Change to school calendar

Archived : 08 Mar 2025, 12:00 AM

Dear Parents/Guardians,

The scheduled Staff Development/Planning Day on the school calendar for Monday 13th January has now been deferred until Wednesday 12th February.

With the forced closure on Monday 6th January due to the hazardous weather conditions and again tomorrow (Thursday) for the teacher professional training day (facilitated by the Department of Education) for new developments in the Leaving Cert 2025/2026 it would not be ideal to be closed again in such as short space of time.

Apologies for any inconvenience caused.

Regards,

K. Martin

Good evening all,

As of now the school will reopen tomorrow. The school grounds, entrance, footpaths etc. have been gritted. They will be further salted early tomorrow morning.
I ask that all of you take care in walking to school and around the school grounds tomorrow as there is the possibility of further freezing again tonight. The main roads around Clane have also been treated.

As of now, the bus companies are intending to run tomorrow, however this is subject to change depending on tonight's weather.

Take care on your journey to school tomorrow morning.

Regards,
K. Martin

Good evening,
Happy New Year to all of you.

Following a review of the weather situation throughout the day and this evening, we have made the decision to close the school tomorrow, Monday 6th January, due to the current weather conditions and the weather warnings for tonight and early tomorrow. To ensure the safety of our students and staff we believe this action is necessary. We will keep you updated on the situation and provide further information tomorrow as it becomes available.

Apologies for any inconvenience this may cause.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

K. Martin
