November Remembrance Service

Dear Parents and Students ,we hope to have a short memorial service tomorrow. Every year here in the school during the month of November we remember all our staff and students who have died down through the years. We also take some time to remember our own loved ones who have died. We have invited Fr Paul O'Boyle to join us for our service. A sacred space has been prepared in front of the main office where our memorial books that contain all the names of our school community who have died will be placed for the next few weeks. The service will take place over the school intercom system at 12:45 pm. It is our way of saying that those who were once part of our community will always be remembered. Mr Breslin and Mr Kavanagh.

A Guidance team has been set up for each 6th yr tutor group to ensure that everyone receives up to date Careers information. There is so much information available to 6th year students that this is the best way to post it. There are regular posts on CAO, Apprenticeships, College virtual open days, college Q&A's ,webinars etc as well as important deadlines that must be met in 6th year. Please encourage your child to keep up to date with this information. CAO is now open to apply - see teams for guidelines and information. Thank You for your cooperation, Ms McGee and Ms Travers

Microphones; A some minority of students have indicated to teachers that they cannot engage verbally during lessons as they do not have a microphone. Collecting student after school

Dear Parents/Guardians, Hazel Hall nursing home has written to me expressing their concern regarding the traffic both inside and outside their premises at school drop off and pick up times. Students are walking through their car park to get collected. This could potentially cause an accident if somebody was to pull out from a parking space. Cars are also parking on the footpath outside the nursing home and this is blocking the views of cars leaving the nursing home. They have also informed the Garda. We are concerned a major accident might occur if parents continue to park in the nursing home or on the main road. Please make alternative arrangements. Thank you for your co-operation. Kind regards Padraig Nolan
