JCT Cluster Day - School Closed

Dear Parent/Guardian, We would like to remind you that our school is closed for students on this Thursday 25th February. This event has been posted in the calendar on this App since before Christmas. This school closure is organised by the DES and the date is outside our control. A JCT Cluster Day is where the teachers from a number of schools in our area come together in various venues to receive training in their relevant subject area. This training event is directly linked to the introduction of new specifications at Junior Cycle level. It is not linked to this year's JC Examinations. As with almost everything at present this whole day event will be online. Students will have a break from their school timetable. We will not have live classes nor will teachers post new assignments on Thursday. Students should take the opportunity to get in some exercise while adhering to all the current Covid19 guidelines. Lessons will resume on Friday. Take care.

Dear Parent/Guardian, Please keep your "Cloud School/Progresso" Username and Password in a secure place until you will need it again. You will appreciate as it is a manual process that we cannot constantly re-issue a link to re-activate your account. Please change your password when prompted approximately every 90 days. School Reports Access Update

The web address for accessing reports using a browser is now www.progresso.net An updated access help sheet is attached. Apologies for any confusion caused. Please note; Your username is not your email address. Where you previously used an "@eircom.net" email address - you may need to send us a new one as this may have become redundant. Where you have an existing user account (since the summer) for Cloud School - you will not receive a link to log in. You must use your existing username and password. Please ensure you are using the "desktop site" to view the reports. They will appear blank on the mobile site. Please only use the "Parent Note" on our school App to communicate about the reports.

Dear Parent/Guardian, Our school reports will be published tomorrow Wednesday 16th December on a phased basis starting at 10am. All reports will be available before the end of the school day. Our school reports are now only available electronically using your Progresso (Cloud School) account. You will receive an email with a link to create this account prior to your student’s first formal report. The purpose of our new school report is to provide a comprehensive representation of, and to contribute to, the personal development of our students and to support learning and teaching. We value the professional opinion of our teachers in providing honest and constructive feedback to convey how our students can learn and improve. Please find two documents attached; 1. CloudSchool Parental portal - How to set up a user account and access the reports. You must use the desktop site even on a mobile device. 2. New Reports Explainer Please use the "Parent Note" facility on this App to highlight any omissions from your student's report - send for the attention of .Mr. Cahillane.

Christmas Carol Service outside Hazel Hall Nursing Home - Photo Gallery

A Christmas Carol Service took place outside Hazel Hall Nursing Home on Thursday 10th December. The students were socially distant while singing and dancing to Christmas songs for the residents. It was a thoroughly enjoyable day coming together and bringing some Christmas joy to the residents in the Nursing Home. A huge thank you to all the 4th and 5th year singers, dancers, musicians and teachers, Ms. Clifford, Ms. Dunne and Mr. McLoughlin who got involved.
Internet Safety Day 2021

Dear Parents/Guardians and Students, Tomorrow is Safer Internet Day. We will mark it by freeing up the third class just after the break. This will give you an opportunity to take a rest from the computer and get outside and get some fresh air if the weather allows. Have a break from the device you are using anyway. Transition Year Interviews December 2020

TY interviews will take place online on Monday 14th and Tuesday 15th of December. Microsoft Teams will be used to complete the interview. Students will be divided into groups of 5/6 and given a timeslot to present their reflections on transition year so far and answer interview questions. Once their interview slot is finished they are on their Christmas holidays. Please see attached documents for Interview details and schedule.
