Dear Students, I hope you are all well. I intend to send out to some positive thoughts and reflections during the time we are away from the school. I hope you find them helpful.
' Someday we will look back on this moment and it will forever remind us to never take the little things for granted. It will remind us to hug with all our hearts,to pause to appreciate holding someone's hand and to live in the moments that we are surrounded by others'.

Social Distancing

We are sharing this message with you in cooperation with Clane Community Gardaí.
We are asking you to encourage your student(s) to observe social distancing when out and about within their 5km zone.
We are encouraging everyone to exercise or simply walk outside for at least 30 minutes each day.
However, when outside we must all observe the social distancing guidelines with others that are not in our limited social bubble, for most this will only be immediate family members or those living together.
We must all do our best to stop the spread of the Coronavirus.
We hope all our students, teachers and their families have a restful & safe midterm break.
Take care of yourselves!

Communicating with your Teenager - We have been made aware of this upcoming event which may be of interest.
Presented by Allen O’Donoghue from Helpme2Parent
Wed 17th Feb 7pm (via Zoom)
Being a parent has many challenging moments and having a teenager is absolutely no exception. Teenagers experience a variety of issues and we all try our best to support them through this, but we can sometimes find it so frustrating when they don’t take our advice. In this talk we will look at the following:
· Communicating effectively
· Negotiating rules and boundaries
· Teaching teenagers responsibility
· Managing conflict
· Solving problems together
Allen is a professional coach, trainer and facilitator with over 20 years of experience in youth and family development and qualifications in Psychotherapy and Social Science.
