Our first year girls lost out by a single basket today against Presentation Miltown in a very exciting game, well done girls on a great performance.
Munster Cross Country

Today two of our athletes represented the school at the Munster Cross Country Championships in Cork, both in the junior category. In a very competitive race and tough conditions, Ciara Moore finished in 9th place which qualifies her for the All-Ireland schools event taking place in Galway in March. Lara O’Brien Leahy was also well in contention throughout, finishing strong towards the top of the field. Congratulations girls!

1st & 2nd year girl's basketball teams have had a busy few days in the school league, first up they played Presentation Tralee where our 1st year's won and the second year's lost out but put in a great effort. Our teams were out against Coláiste na Sceilge today where both teams were victorious. Well done girls!

Well done to Anna and Alisha who starred in the Wizard of Oz in the Siamsa Tíre at the weekend. Anna played the part of Dorothy and Alisha was the Wicked witch of the West. Great stuff girls!

On behalf of all in Star of the Laune Athletic Club we would like to wish 1st year student, Ciara Moore all the best in the up coming All Ireland Schools Cross Country in Galway. 
 
Ciara is a hard working and dedicated  athlete in our club  and we realise what an honour it is to reach All Ireland Final level in schools athletics. We are very proud that one of our athletes will be representing the ISK in Galway.
