Tonight we travelled to De La Salle College Waterford where the team opposed the motion “Volunteering abroad does more harm than good” Well done to our four debaters and to the students who travelled to support the team.

Wonderful experience to see how a live show operates. Claire Byrne met all the students after the show. Very interesting topics discussed. We also got to see Ryan Tubridy’s Toy Show costumes.

Transition Year
Students enjoyed a tour of the Dáil and the Seanad today. They were told about the history of the building and its role as the seat of government since 1922. Many thanks to Mary Butler TD for arranging the tour of Leinster House.

Our U17 side who travelled to Tramore, despite some good passing football and a cracking goal from Andrew Norris, we were defeated 3-1. Best of luck to @ArdscoilNaMara in the next round.

Ms McGrath & Ms McGann attended an event organised by Drinkaware a national charity working to reduce alcohol misuse in Ireland. This was very informative and they got plenty of resources to use in SPHE and TY classes.
