On Thurs 9/3 we will travel to Awesome Walls in Finglas to compete in the secondary school's rock climmbing competition. There are some slots still available for entry online on a first come first served basis. Please email me on deirdremcgauran@hcetss.ie if your child would like to make a late entry. The cost of entry is 25 euro per student plus the cost of the bus - approx 10 euro. If you have recevied another personal notification about this event then your child's entry has already been accounted for. 

HCETSS are proud to announce that we will be putting on our first musical production in October 2023! This production is open to our current first and second year students only. Auditions will take place on Friday, 24th February from 1pm - 3pm. 

Sign-up sheets have been placed in all base classroom for both principal and ensemble roles. Audition material will be given on the day, but we do ask that students auditioning for a lead role come with one verse and/or chorus (approx. 30 - 40 seconds) prepared to sing. Those who are looking to join to ensemble will learn a short dance together in the audition.

Third Year Parent Teacher Meeting

Date: 9th March 2023

Time: 4:15pm to 6:45pm

Dear Parent/Guardian,

 Our third year parent teacher meetings will take place this Thursday in person at the school from 4.15pm to 6.45pm. During the meetings, teachers will be situated in a number of rooms around the school as follows:

Room 1: Amy, Laura and John

Room 2: Rowie, Leonna and Daniel

Room 4; Ciara, Mick and Claudia

Room 6: Deirdre, Gerard and Lorraine

Room 7: Gráinne, Evan and Holly

Support Centre: Nikki     

Room 12: Niamh

Upon arrival, you will be greeted by members of the student council who will assist you in finding the rooms and the teachers who you wish to speak to.

As can be the case with secondary school parent teacher meetings, it may not be possible to speak to all of your child’s teachers on the night and we would encourage you to prioritise the teachers who you particularly wish to speak to.

Each meeting will last for 6 minutes and the meetings will finish at 6.45pm sharp. We do expect there to be some queuing therefore the earlier you arrive the more teachers you will have the opportunity to talk to.

As many of the meeting discussions will be focussed around the mock report, we advise that you have viewed this prior to the meeting. This report will be published to you on Vsware on Wednesday afternoon, March 8th.

Both the boys and the girls teams will train today Wed 22nd Feb from 15:00-15:45. Normal training days resume next week.

Boys and girls basketball teams will both train tomorrow 1/3/23. No training will happen on Thurs. This is as a result of girls matches scheduled for Thursday.
