Well done to everyone for making a great effort throughout the Attendance Challenge.
While there wasn’t prizes for everyone - all those who achieved 100% attendance will see that achievement recognised on VSWARE. There was a raffle for each year group for the
100% Attendance Prize - €35 Voucher
in the Sports Shop in Cavan. The winners were

On Thursday afternoon, there will be prizes awarded to 1 student from each year group who has achieved FULL attendance since February 20th and to 1 student from each year who has significantly IMPROVED their attendance record since February 20th. As part of our CSPE project, we are hosting a Lap and Chat in aid of Childline! As part of their Let's Sweat it Together Campaign, our students and teachers will be walking and talking about what worries we may have.
Whether you're worried about your friend not texting you back or failing a test, we are challenging each student to chat to someone about it during your Lap and Chat.
Childline is a national charity dedicated to enhancing the lives of children and young people. Our mission is to listen to children, empower them, strengthen their resilience, and enable them to live their best possible lives.

We are entering the final week of the whole school Attendance Challenge and it’s a short week so let’s see everyone making a final big effort to make every day count.
School attendance can literally be a challenge for many students and their parents and support is available. Parents/Guardians can contact me through the secretary or by email at

As well as recognising full attendance, improved attendance is also being recognised.
