Outstanding Achievement Awards presented to Alice Rowley, Niamh Fitzpatrick and Aleksandra Adamska in the Maggie Gough Competition 2024. We are extremely proud of their success in the field of mathematics. 15,795 students participated in this competition. These girls were 3 out of 53 students in the country who achieved 95 or higher. Our 1st Year students have settled in well to the College and have all made positive starts and have added much to the life of our Loreto school community. The students have had a busy first term including producing this wonderful display on our theme for the year.

TY students were busy this week setting tulip bulbs in upcycled car tyres. Thankfully the weather was on our side after storm Ashley and we look forward to seeing a display of colourful tulips in the spring. Well done everyone.
Our TYs got into the Halloween spirit by carving pumpkins in Home Economics.
A great day was had on our 6th year LCVP trip to the Butler's Chocolate Factory as part of their portfolio work

As part of Maths Week 2024 our TY and 5th year students took part in the Maggie Gough competition.
15,795 students all over Ireland took part, with 53 students scoring 95 or more. We had 3 students who scored 95 or more, and many more students scoring high. Well done to Alice, Aleksandra and Niamh. What an achievement. @imtanational

Congratulations to the Loreto students who competed in the National Swimming Gala this week. Well done to Ilaria Aylward who came 1st and won a medal in backstroke and our Over 16 relay who placed 3rd in the heats of the relay. Well done all!
