Congratulations Helen Shang (5th Year) and Audrey Sereda (TY) who have won the Loreto Senior Debates Final 2025. Well done also to Helen Shang who won Best Speaker of the Loreto Debates 2025 competition. 

We are very proud also of our Senior team Eve Byrne and Amelia Scallan (TY) who also made the final.

All 1st Year students took part in Book Speed Dating in the Concert Hall yesterday.  The event was organised by the Wellbeing Department and the WellRead Committee.  Lots of book chats were had and the students have all gone home with recommendations for their next read!  Remember 'Reading for pleasure is the single biggest indicator of a child’s future success – more than their family circumstances, their parents’ educational background or their income'  (World Book Day research).  The students in Loreto Foxrock are lucky to have a fantastic library at their disposal and our librarian, Ms Butler, is a font of knowledge when it comes to all things books.  Listening to audiobooks is also a great form of reading.  Free audio and ebooks are available to borrow from the Borrowbox app with your local library card.  Happy reading!

Congratulations to Mr Kehoe's two Junior Debates teams who competed all day today in the Inter-Loreto Junior Debates. For many of them, this was their first competitive outing and the judges complimented them on their engagement and speaking skills. They only narrowly missed out on a place in the finals next week. Special congratulations to Robyn Cogan (1st Year) who placed 6th out of 40 speakers - an excellent result!
