Kindness Certificates

Today Mr McCarthy and Mr Murphy presented students with their kindness certificates. Students were nominated by other students and staff members for showing true kindness within the BCS community. Mr Ring spoke to the students about how important it is to spread kindness, congratulated them for being nominated, and reminded them to continue to show kindness to others. Well done everyone! If you can be anything in life, be kind.

All three students wrote exceptional opinion pieces and feature articles. They are pictured here receiving their prizes from Mrs O’Brien.

It was the boys turn this week at the East Munster Schools Track & Field event in Templemore today. Huge congratulations to Fionn Schurmann - 1st in Junior Long jump Stephen Roche and Shane Cronin - 2nd and 3rd in Senior shot putt respectively Jack Griffin - 3rd in Senior 110m hurdles Senior 4X400m relay team - 3rd All of the above have qualified for the Munsters in Templemore on Sat 21st May. Well done to all who competed today who also achieved a number of pb’s. Congratulations everyone!!
Journalism success at BCS

Huge congratulations to Tia Kenneally, TYB, for her recent success in the national PressPass journalism competition. Tia received first place in the ‘photojournalism’ category, for her fantastic photograph taken on Youghal beach entitled ‘The Crow’. We are very proud of her achievement and for representing our school at the awards ceremony in the Aviva Stadium.
