CPR training

A large number of our TY students completed CPR training before mid term with the remaining students training in the next couple of weeks. It is an important skill for anyone to learn and will enable students to help if needed. Well done to the students.

Dear Parent/Guardian,
We invite you to a Leaving Certificate Applied (LCA) Information Evening this Thursday the 27th, at 7pm. This session will provide valuable insights into the structure of the LCA Programme and why it might be suitable for your child.
The LCA Programme is ideal for students who:
- Prefer continuous assessment over final exams
- Enjoy practical, hands on learning
-Want to develop key life and work skills
- Are interested in vocational subjects and work experience
We look forward to seeing you there.

Track & Field

Please note - the Munster Schools Indoor competition which was due to take place next Tuesday 4th March has been CANCELLED.
However, we look forward to the outdoor track and field season. We will be training on Thursday 27th Feb after school from 3.45-4.45.
This week we will be focusing on throwing events (shot putt and javelin) and running disciplines. You must attend at least 2 training sessions to enable you to attend these competitions.
East Munsters will be after Easter and I am awaiting a date for the Waterford Schools competition.

What is Safer Internet Day?
Safer Internet Day (SID) is an EU wide initiative to promote a safer internet for all users, especially young people. It is promoted in Ireland by Oide Technology in Education and Webwise.
Safer Internet Day 2025 takes place today Tuesday, 11th February 2025.
This year’s celebrations are based around the theme, “Prepare / Protect / Thrive: Navigating Algorithms and Influencers.”
This theme invites parents, schools, educators, young people, and all stakeholders to consider how algorithms and influencers shape young people’s lives.Check out activities at webwise.ie
