A great turnout tonight at our 6th year Mentoring Evening. Career guidance teacher Lucie Higgins gave important information about key dates relating to CAO and career information. Lucie was followed by parents -Martina, Tina, Annmarie who outlined the costs involved- rent, fees, laptops etc but also hidden costs. The final part of the evening involved a community panel answering questions about their career paths. Career guidance teacher Marianne Landers hosted this question session. The panel was made up of Catherine Ahearne (studied in Wales and gave UCAS information), Ellen Ni Laoghaire ( Irish and English teacher, recent graduate) Cllr. Donnachadh Mulcahy (college alternative, business owner and local councillor) Aidan Kelly (PE and Maths teacher recent graduate) and Audrey Doocey (PLC route). It was an excellent, informative evening.

All first years have received vaccination forms from their tutors this week. Forms must be filled out and returned to Tina’s office by Friday.
Students also received a letter about the end of year school trip. Any student interested in the trip must bring a deposit to their tutor by this Friday.
A gentle reminder that all first years must have their Yondr pouch in school. These were provided at the beginning of the school year. Any student who has lost or damaged their pouch must purchase a replacement from Katriona’s office.
