Congratulations to our Green-Schools Committee,  on being awarded the Green Flag for the Travel Theme. The Green Flag will be presented to our school by An Taisce on Wednesday the 14th of May at the Hotel Kilkenny, College Rd, Kilkenny. Well done to everyone involved.
LIDL Serious Support School Programme

As part of the Lidl Serious Support School Programme, we asked 1st year students to design a new school jersey. Our winning design was made by Eva Hamilton. The jerseys arrived in school yesterday.

Well done to Robert O'Riordan on finishing  the 25 km run  in Cork today with a time of 1 hour  48 minutes and was the first 18 year old to finish the race.

Well done to all staff who participated in our Ice Bucket Challenge at lunch time today as a great finish to the Austim Awareness Week.. Think the students énjoyed  soaking the victims!!!!

We now look forward to the East Munsters which will take place after Easter, the girls competition in Templemore on Wednesday 30th April and the boys in Waterford on Thursday 8th May. Autism Awareness Week

At breaktime today our hub hosted a SNA Appreciation Day.. and at lunchtime Annabella, Fintan and Pa Walsh dyked  their hair  blue to raise awareness. Badges and wristbands were distributed to staff On Thursday the "Hub of activity” exhibition took place in the staff room. All made by students in the Hub. Celebrating Autism Acceptance week at BCS. Students in the Hub  played" lollipop bingo" with TY students for reverse inclusion.
Easter Themed Baking

The  B.C S Easter themed Baking Competition took place last Wednesday.  
The first year participants showed great enthusiasm and teamwork working hard on their cakes all afternoon. Their creativity and talent shown by all participants has to be commended!

Today the students from Prague got to experience a bit of Irish Culture with a Ceili and music and  hurling. Today, we bid farewell to our friends from Prague. Thank you to all involved, especially our students, for making this visit such a memorable and welcoming experience!"
