To the entire school community,
please ensure that you park responsibly in the local area. Kilcullen Gardaí have been in touch to report the frustrations of local residents with cars associated with the school parked irresponsibly and, in some cases, illegally. Please remember that parking on footpaths is unsafe and illegal. When parking it is essential that access for emergency vehicles, bin trucks etc. is possible without any obstruction.
While everybody would like to avoid fines etc., more important is that we remember that CPC is part of the community and I would ask that cars associated with anybody attending, visiting or dropping off/collecting from CPC be parked in a safe, legal and considerate way.
If your son/daughter drives their own car please speak with them about this.
Thank you
J Leonard
Our 1st to 5th year students enjoyed a lively and engaging performance today from up and coming UK band Absnt Mind.
The members of the band also spoke to the students about the looking after their mental health and being safe online. They shared their personal journey and the challenges they faced while in school. They reminded students of the importance of having hoobies, doing things they enjoy, and of speaking about their feelings openly.
A very enjoyable experience for all!
A gentle reminder to the parents and guardians of TY students that the Senior Cycle Pathways webinar takes place this evening at 7pm.
An email, containing the link to register for the webinar, was sent to parents and guardians at the end of last week.
Our TY students are also welcome to attend the webinar.
Kind regards,
Elaine McDonnell and Grainne Duffy

This week, we were thrilled to welcome students and teachers from our partner school in Namur, Belgium, as part of the Erasmus+ programme, https://secondaire.providencechampion.be/. It was a fantastic opportunity to build lasting friendships, strengthen our vital European connections, and share meaningful experiences. A highlight of the visit was our exciting day in Dublin, where we explored essential European values and Ireland’s influential role in Europe. At Europe House, students took part in a dynamic and interactive role-play activity to learn about the work of MEPs and how decisions are made in the European Parliament. This enriching experience deepened our understanding of democracy and Europe’s shared future.
We also visited the iconic Long Room in Trinity and the impressive Book of Kells, followed by an insightful tour of the Dáil and Seanad to learn about Ireland’s political system, history, and democratic processes.
After a busy day in Dublin, we took our seats for the long-awaited school musical GREASE, where our Belgian guests enthusiastically applauded their CPC exchange partners and were incredibly impressed by the outstanding talent of all involved – as always!
While we were sad to say goodbye to our friends today, we are very excited for part two of the exchange, which will take place at the end of the month. We are eagerly looking forward to visiting the European Parliament in Brussels and learning more about the impressive EU Headquarters.
Dear students, parents and guardians,
we have been notified of a subject inspection in Physical Education to take place next week on 19th and 21st March. If you are interested in learning more about this process please follow this LINK
A small number of students will be invited to be part of a student focus group. If your child is selected by the inspector they will bring a consent form home on the 19th to return on the 21st.
Kind regards
J Leonard
