Great job everyone on the exercise yesterday. The PE Google Classrooms were hopping :) If it didn't happen for you yesterday on the exercise front, make today the day you get going. If you're working on a Chrome browser you can download a cool movement break extension, Move It, to remind you to keep limber while you work! Good for parents working on line too! See pic attached to get the gist. Link here: chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/move-it/kopilngnmfklhhjocdfdlokmodibcbmk
Friday's thought for the day is that 'Friends are like stars. You don't always see them, but you know they are there.' Your social distancing is no doubt impacting your socialising but remember to keep in touch with your pals and classmates. It can be lonely out of the hustle and bustle of school. Stay connected. Stay safe. Stay safe on line.

Our Mid-week Thought for the Day...

Good morning! Welcome back to routine after what we hope was an enjoyable, although unusual, St Patrick's Day. It is very important to set up helpful habits over the next few weeks. We are asking all our students, with their parents' support, to be up, dressed, fed and ready for learning action for 8.30 each day, just like you would on a normal school day. Keeping routine where we can will help us find our way through new challenges. Today's thought for the day is: We first make our habits, then our habits make us.
Today's challenge: Stick to the timetable... This includes little breaks between classes, small break at 10.30 and lunch at 12.10!
You have 20 mins left to get to the desk! Have a good day

TY
Dear Parent(s)/Guardians,
Please see below some notices for the Transition Years in Our Lady's School for the coming weeks.
The work experience block that was due to take place the 23rd-27th is cancelled as the Department of Education has ordered all schools to close during these dates. It is the student's responsibility to contact their work placement and inform them of this.
At the moment the school is due to reopen on the 30th March, if students have a work experience organised for the 30th March -3rd April you will be able to attend your placement if OLS is open. If your work experience has fallen through you will not be penalised for this. As a result of the current climate surrounding Covid-19 there is no need to look for a new placement.
During the weeks your daughters teachers will be posting work on their Google classrooms and she also has her portfolio and work experience project to complete. Please encourage your daughter to schedule her time as if she doesn't work consistently throughout the 2 weeks she will have a significant backlog to complete in a short space of time.
Also to confirm Faughs mural painting on Saturday has once again been rescheduled.
Any information on trips will be sent to relevant parents once we have my information, we will be following up with the travel agencies daily.
Notices will be posted on the TY Google classroom as needed so please remind your daughter to keep an eye on the page
