The term finished on a high note today with Fancy Dress Friday, a fundraiser organised by the Student Council to help fund their initiatives for the student body over the coming year. There was a fabulous response from the students and staff. Well done to the Student Council and their facilitating teacher, Ms Campbell, for organising this term finale! We also had the winners of the Wells for Zoe raffle today. Well done to the 5th Years, 1st Years and Ms Heaphy for working so well to raise money for this worthy cause.

As the excitement for midterm approaches, the student council have asked all members of the school community to come to school this Friday dressed up as their favourite literary characters. We are looking forward to a fun and vibrant day as the corridors come to life with characters from our favourite books. In return, the council have asked the student body to bring in €5 each. This money will be donated to the much needed refurbishment of the sports facilities and also to fund the student council initiatives for the year ahead. Other than the costumes, it will be a normal school day with teaching and learning in every class! There will be prizes for the best dressed in each year. Watch this space for pictures of the different costumes!
