6th Year Academic Mentoring

An academic mentoring programme is being made available to every 6th Year student in Our Lady's. Each student has been assigned a mentoring teacher who will meet with her to offer advice and guidance throughout her 6th Year academic journey. Mentoring teachers are volunteering their time to work with students in the areas of: managing workload, goal setting, study planning, time management, prioritisation, getting the most from school and achieving balance.

Congratulations to our Leaving Certificate Applied students who received their Session 2 results this week. The girls now have half of their Leaving Certificate completed and have set their goals and aims for the next two sessions. We wish them all the best in achieving their maximum potential in the next two sessions.

Our TYs have had a busy week getting the details finalised on their work experience and making sure they are ready for Carlingford. Please see below some notices re Carlingford.
A reminder that payments and permission slips are now overdue. Please ensure these are completed asap.
A reminder that we are meeting in St. Joseph's Hall at 07:00 on Wednesday the 25th and will be returning Friday the 27th at 15:30 approx.
Please ensure your daughter has enough changes of clothes, toiletries, towels, togs and snacks for the trip.
If your daughter is bringing medication it had to have been expressed on the medical form submitted previously. Any alterations to this please contact Ms. Phillips. Please only bring enough medication for the length of the trip.
Your daughter will be allowed use her phone only during the free time slots on the trip. For emergencies please contact the school mobile number given on the information letter received last week.

Reminder for all Parents - The 3rd Year Parent Teacher Meeting will be on Monday, 18th November at 4.15pm - 6.45pm in the Sports Hall. (School will finish at 3.35pm).
There will be a Junior Cycle information session in the prefab next to the Sports Hall, rolling every 15 minutes during the P/T meeting. We encourage 3rd Year parents to avail of this opportunity to find out more about the new Junior Cycle, learning and assessment.
