Our Lady's School has been selected to partake in phase two of a pilot programme for the secondary school Active School Flag. We are very excited about this as it gives us a great opportunity to get a strong student voice propelling our steps towards healthy and active living. Our ASF journey will be informed by research completed in conjunction with the University of Limerick. The first step is a whole-school survey we hope to complete next week. The process is explained in the attached letter. Please take a few moments to read this. If you would prefer that your daughter NOT participate in the research, please fill out the form and have your daughter return it to Reception. Many thanks.

Dear Parents and Guardians, This Wednesday we welcomed back to all our pupils for another exciting school year. They all behaved exemplary during their induction meeting and seem to have taken the slightly different structure that this year holds in their stride. Here are some notices for the week ahead. Your daughter will also receive this reminder on the TY google classroom. Please ensure your daughter is joined to the google classroom as notices will be posted there from time to time. The code is 'ypmxlr'. She must use her olschool.ie email account. Monday is the due date for medical forms and rules contract in regards to Carlingford. Please remind your daughter to drop this into the drop boxes outside my office. By Friday 6th, the Poland students must bring a photocopy of their passport with any medical or dietary requirements written on the back. This must also be signed by a parent/guardian to ensure the information is as accurate as possible. More details of these and any actions required will be taken closer to the trip time. Please note that there are 2 permission slips which will need to be submitted on the app. If there is a particular reason your daughter cannot attend these trips please notify the office via email for the attention of Ms. Phillips. Payments for Carlingford must be completed online by Friday the 13th of September. From all here in the TY Team we wish your daughter an exciting, fun and busy year.
