Anthony Idris got the day off to a great start with a 9th place position in the minor boys race, sealing his place for the Leinster XC. He was closely followed by Ben McDonald just missing out on a qualifying spot in 19th place.
Cillian Friel followed Ben's form in 19th place also, unfortunate not to qualify in the Junior Boys Race.
The Intermediate Boys Race was a very competitive field, which didn't phase Jack Stone who ran a very smart race and finished 9th overall. He will also go forward to the Leinster XC.
Finishing off the day on a high was Adam Holden in the Senior Boys 6km. Running a very strong race from start to finish, Adam crossed the line in 6th place in a sprint finished.
Congrats to all who competed on the day, representing their school with pride!

RULES FOR PUPILS REGARDING EXAMS
• Students are expected to wear full school uniform for all examinations
• Students who do not have an exam in the morning are permitted to remain at home to study, and return to school during the lunch break ( between 12.35 and 1.15). Students do not need to sign in at the main office on such occasions, as a roll will be taken during the afternoon exam.
• Students who only have a morning exam must be present in the exam centre from 9.00 am. Late arrivals will not be permitted into the exam centre. If you wish to leave the school after a morning exam, you must sign out in the GPA, showing your Parental Permission Slip, fully completed and signed by a parent, which should be stuck in the back of the school journal. Without this Permission Slip, students will not be permitted to leave the school. Under no circumstance can any student sign out after a morning exam, leave the school premises, and return for an afternoon exam.
• Junior Certificate students will be allocated a specific place in which to sit in the exam centre for all their exams.
• Each student must have their own material for their exams, for example, calculator, rulers, eraser, pens, pencils, T-squares, log tables etc. Sharing materials will not be permitted.
• Answer books must be used for all examinations.
• It is each student’s responsibility to ensure that he knows what exam takes place on each day. Not only will your son(s) be given a copy of the timetable, but you can also access it on the School App and School Website. In addition, it will also be posted on various noticeboards around the school.
• Students are not permitted to communicate in any way with another student during an exam. If a student attempts to communicate with someone else , his test will be cancelled, and a comment to that effect will appear on his Mock Exam Report.
• Schoolbags and mobile phones are not permitted in the exam centres. Bags must be left on the baggage racks and valuables should be securely locked inside lockers.
• Students are only allowed to bring water into the exam centre, where the bottle must be left at all times on the floor beside their desks.
• For the smooth running of the examinations we ask for parent’s co-operation by ensuring your son arrives on time for all exams and adheres to these rules.
