There is now an exciting Edna O'Brien Young Writers Bursary. They are looking for 15 talented teenage writers from all over Ireland, between the ages of 15 and 17, to take part in a week long writers programme in MoLI from 6 - 10 July, 2020. The goal of the Bursary is to attract young writers with significant potential and afford them the opportunity to explore that potential. Travel Costs, accommodation and meals will be provided and the students will all stay together, supervised in Student Residences in UCD. They are not looking for polished, finished pieces of writing, or writers with large amounts of experience. What they are interested in is hearing about the writers, their passion for writing and their willingness to join them for a week in Dublin during the Summer of 2020. You can find out more about The Edna O' Brien Young Writers Bursary on the website moli.ie/edna-obrien-bursary/the-bursary/

Our U14 hurlers were victorious today against St. Joseph's Secondary Rochfortbridge. The game was played at St.Mary's GAA Pitch in Rochfortbridge where conditions were extremely windy. The CBS were playing against the wind in the first half and found themselves 1-8 to 1-0 down at half time. However, the CBS responded well and found the net on multiple occasions with goals from James Norton, Conor Raggett and Patrick O Callaghan helping the cause. Other strong performers included Darrin Dunne and Paddy Fitzpatrick. The CBS ran out easy winners with the game finishing 6-7 to 1-10. Well done to Mr Dunne and all players involved.
