Busking for Focus Ireland

On Friday, 7th March, all 1st-year students, along with 6th-year music students, will be busking to raise funds for Focus Ireland. This nationwide initiative aims to support homeless services, and we are delighted to take part. 

Classes 1A and 1D will perform in the school hall from 12:00 to 12:30 p.m., followed by 1B and 1C from 12:30 to 1:00 p.m. Parents, siblings, and grandparents are warmly invited to attend and be part of this special event.

Izzy Bisset, 5th Year student and regional officer for the Irish Second-Level Students Union was invited to the Mansion House on the 20th February to participate in 'Debate your Decision Makers 2025'. Here she was afforded the opportunity to speak with politicians and government ministers on issues affecting second-level students. Well done Izzy for promoting student voice.

Congratulations to Roisin Carbery who received a UCD

Scholars Award for her academic achievement in the Leaving Certificate 2024. A ceremony took place in

UCD yesterday. Roisin is studying Engineering and hopes to pursue Chemical Engineering. We wish Roisin well in her studies.

Congratulations to Niamh Hannan who received a DCU Scholars Award for her academic achievement in the Leaving Certificate 2024. A ceremony took place in DCU in November. Niamh is undertaking a B.Ed (Primary School teaching). We wish Niamh well in her studies. 
Leinster Debating

Congratulations to our senior debaters who participated in Round 3 of the Leinster Debates on Tuesday, Feb 4th, in Trinity College.
 
Rebecca Furey opposed the motion, on behalf of her team, that 'This house believes it is in the interests of the Catholic Church to liberalise.' Phoenix Hickson-Pitt, Rachel Casey and Iris Cooney, Natalie Kilcullen proposed the motion. All girls spoke very eloquently.
