THE REPUBLIC OF IRELAND SCHOOLS Soccer team headed to Newcastle earlier this month with high hopes of retaining the Bob Docherty Cup which they last captured in 2019. Hannah HEALY (2nd year) lead the class of 2022 in this year’s tournament and she was expected to be a prominent star for the Irish and one to watch out for. Hannah more than lived up to that expectation and captained the team to three successive victories to retain the Bob Docherty Cup. The Irish management named Captain Hannah HEALY as Player of the Tournament. She led the line perfectly over the three games. Scored against England in the opening match and headed home the winner against Scotland in the final. Well done Hannah and best wishes in upcoming matches.
