Our annual Christmas Concert will take place in school next Tuesday 29th December at 7pm.
The evening will be a feast of musical treats from our music students and school choir.

"Many of you helped us with our online survey with children for the Children’s Report to the UN Committee in 2021. Your help was essential in the success of that survey, with 5,5,15 children returning questionnaires. The importance of good mental health and mental health service is one on the key themes that children raised in that research (see www.oco.ie/pieces-of-us for the full report).
We would now like to get a more in-depth knowledge of children’s views on mental health and mental health services and we are asking your help to get their views. We are asking that your school shares our survey with children and parents, and any organisations in your network, to ensure that as many children as possible are consulted! You can do this in a number of ways:

1.Share our survey with children under the age of 18 that attend your school via email.
2. Share our survey with your student’s parent or guardians
We have attached some FAQs for your school, the email that you can send out to children, parents and your networks and we have attached sample social media posts.

We really need your help to make sure that as many children in Ireland as possible complete this survey, so we would really appreciate it if you could share this widely and support children to give their views. The survey closes on 7th December at midnight!

The Parents' Association have organised fantastic prizes for all the family in their annual fundraising raffle for the school.
A card went home to every family yesterday.
With the funds raised, we can continue to support the school in improving student resources.

Our fourth annual Festival of Flavours takes place tomorrow, Thursday 24th November. This food festival celebrates the rich and diverse culture within our school. We have 22 countries represented with over 100 students involved in creating this wonderful festival. Entry to the Festival for students is €2. All money collected this year will go to a local chariety - The Dining Room.

Unfortunately, yesterday turned out not to be Holy Family's day when the 1st Year Soccer team from 21/22 were defeated in the All Ireland final by Presentation College, Athenry. Despite a gallant effort the girls were beaten 2-1 after extra-time in Athlone Town AFC.
The students playing would like to thank all the students, teachers and parents who have given them support over the past few months as they progressed through the rounds in the cup, sealing a Leinster title and before the final yesterday. These girls now move up to Under 15 level and will hope to go one step further this year.

Yesterday, we celebrated a national event for TY students, #Think Languages2022
Students watched the opening ceremony, took part in the live quiz and attended workshops including Chinese Art, Danish Design, Arabic & Bellydancing & Russian & Ballet.
Our foreign language assistants Laura & Bente hosted a Christmas Cookie decorating workshop.
Thanks to our MFL teachers for facilitating a great morning for all our @HolyFamilyN TY students.
Big thanks to our Think Languages student committee for helping with the organisation, to our two language assistants for the fun workshop, and to all the TY students for taking part!

Reminder: As per our school calendar there will be no school next Monday 21st November for students to facilitate a staff training day.
