Christmas Markets

Tomorrow we will host our Christmas market day for all students. TYs will be selling their mini business products and our Cinnire will be selling hot chocolate, cookies and bake sale items. All students are asked to wear Christmas themed clothes, a jumper or pyjamas and bring in €2. Proceeds of the bake sale and Christmas jumpers are in aid of St Vincent de Paul and Focus Ireland. There will be prizes for the 1st year Christmas poster competition, the best Christmas outfit in each year and the top Christmas quiz team in each year group also. Please send in a food item for our SVP food appeal.
CHIME Clay workshop

Today all TYs had workshop 2 of their clay project with Marie Smith Cavan sculptor based on the CHIME well-being framework. Their pieces all came together and are ready for the kiln. They will be painted and exhibited in Cavan library in the new year.

Yoga

Transition year boys yoga finished up yesterday after a 5 week block of learning new skills and strengthening exercises as part of their TY Wellbeing. Thanks to our wonderful local yoga instructor Sharon’s Yoga and Pilates for coming in and facilitating these sessions.

TY classes are working on wreath making for decorating Bawnboy for the Christmas lights in the village on Saturday. A busy and productive few days ahead for our students.

Our comhaltas group played the Day Centre Christmas celebrations today. This inter-generational event has been an annual tradition in our school and with our wider community.
