Hi everyone, we have a school fundraising event on this Saturday 21st December from 10.30-4.00pm, in Ballyconnell and Bawnboy. Can we ask parents to please help out for half an hour to share the work load that will benefit all the children. Bus prices have increased dramatically over the past two years, and as a school we want our students to experience team sports, musicals, theatre, bonding trips, school tours, Art exibitions, community engagement projects etc. If you or your son/daughter is available and can help out please let Martina know 0863461227
The participants in the St. Mogues College School Completion Programme held a Photography Exhibition in the school today to display the skills acquired in their photography classes since September.
They displayed images captured around the school and in the village of Bawnboy, as well as images that reflected their individual interests.
They were guided in their work by St. Mogues College HSCLO, Mary Mc Eneaney, School Completion Project Worker, Aoife Fitzsimons and professional photographer Leanne Coyle.
Todays exhibition was funded by the School Completion Programme and by CMETB's Creative Arts Grant.
Alan Ryan, Local Creative Youth Partnership Coordinator with CMETB attended the exhibition.
Thank you to the students, teachers and parents who dropped in to view the beautiful photographs on display and to listen to the stories behind some of the images.
There is a high percentage of students absent from school today in particular 5th and 3rd year students. These absences need to be explained via the school app. Classes are continuing right up to the end of this week. 15 out of 43 5th years have gone on a school tour. Classes are continuing for this year group with notes on OneNote.
The students involved in the School Completion Programme have been busy over the last couple of months learning photography skills and they will be displaying some of their favourite photographs this Tuesday 17th December. Please see invitation attached.
Our TY students had their annual Christmas party today in the Keeper’s Arms. They shared a festive dinner complete with chocolate cake, and gave their Secret Santa gifts. A well earned afternoon off after such a busy term!
