Dear Parent/Guardian
Department of Education Junior Cycle official music practical's will be held on 25th March from 9.00a.m. until 3.50p.m.
This exam is 30% of the Students overall grade and therefore attendance is vital.
Please ensure that no appointments are scheduled for that day.
Dear Parent/Guardian,
Tomorrow (4th March) Ms. Connaughton's junior music classes will be attending "Music in the Classroom", a workshop in the National Concert Hall by the National Symphony Orchestra about Junior Cycle music.
Students are to attend school as normal in full uniform (no P.E. uniform, runners etc.) Bus will leave school at 9.30 a.m. and will not return until approx. 5.00p.m.. Students will be allowed their phone on the trip to contact home in case there are any changes.
Students will also be stopping in Blanchardstown shopping centre on the way home for 1 hour for something to eat. Students can also bring their won lunch if they so wish.
Dear Parent,
Monday 3rd March will see the launch of our Attendance Challenge.
The aim is to raise attendance and reduce Unexplained Absences.
Please encourage your child to attend school.
Talk with them about attendance. Get to know their timetable.
It is not enough to request an absence without an explanation. The school must receive notice of illness and/or attendance at essential medical appointments. These are legitimate absences and can be recorded as "Explained"
If anyone wants advice or assistance in relation to attendance, please call the school and make an appointment to speak with the Home School Community Liaison Officer - M. Mc Eneaney. Early intervention is always best.
Please see attached details of the rules of the Attendance Challenge. Your child will have already received a message on Microsoft Team, welcoming them to the Team they have been assigned to for the duration of the challenge.
Kind Regards
HSCLO
