Unique School App Information for Parents

The following is information from our App providers for issues that may be arising from using the school app.

Parents need to ensure that they close the school app in the backgorund each time they use it. Also notification alerts need to be enabled for their mobile device. If parents need to update their mobile number, they can update it in the school app. Just click on their name, then it will bring them to ‘Edit Profile” and they can Change Contact Number there. 
Spring Planting

Ms Moore and some of the TY students started spring planting beech hedgerows at school today. The aim is to provide a habitat for small native birds and also generate an awareness among students of their role in tending to the environment around them.

Thank you to our local TD Brendan Smith for the opportunity to visit the Dáil today. Our 6th year History and Politics students and History students had a wonderful day learning about the workings of the Dáil and Seanad.

Theatre of Witness Workshop

TY students engaged in a very informative workshop with Anne, Fiona and James from The Playhouse in Derry. A mixture of film and discussion of living in Northern Ireland and bringing people together across divides of difference to bear witness to truth, healing and reconciliation through art and storytelling.

Transition Year students are participating in a Traditional Music Project and were teaching tin whistle to students from 1st-6th class in Scoil Mhuire and St. Aidans #CCÉ @comhaltas @CCÉ
Chess and Draughts Tournament

5th year students were testing their tactical skills competing in chess and draughts. Tournament to take place on March 15th.
