We would like to congratulate
second year students Saoirse Duffy, Kate Fletcher O'Connor and Shauna Deery
along with 5th year student Conor O'Brien
for being accepted to compete in the BT Young Scientist this January 2024.
It is a great achievement to have their projects selected as 2,042 projects entered and
only 550 projects are selected to compete.
Well done to our Choir who performed wonderful Festive songs at Santa in the Strand last evening
Our students had a lovely afternoon yesterday visiting The Santa in the Strand in Lismore
Congratulations to Olivia Scanlon, Ellie O’Callaghan McCarthy, Derval Gibney Sheridan, Ciara McLaughlin and Ava Landers who participated in the local heat of the Soroptimist Public speaking competition in Lawlor’s Hotel Dungarvan. The girls gave 4-6 minute speeches on topics including human rights, the empowerment of women, and friendship and volunteering. Both their hard work in writing the speeches and their confidence in delivering them was very impressive. Well done!
The International Space Station is visible from Ireland over the coming days. It looks like a bright star moving very quickly across the sky. 7 astronauts work and live in the ISS, orbiting the earth every 90 minutes.
