Our RBR class visited Carnew Nursing Home this week where they read some stories from ‘The Book of Tomnafinnoge’ by Silvia Cullen & Terence White. The stories read were all written by young people, some of whom are students in our school. We would like to thank the residents and staff for their warm welcome and we look forward to visiting again soon.
We also had our April ‘Drop Everything And Read’ session yesterday where the whole school took thirty minutes from what they were doing and sat back with a book. We will have one more session before the summer holidays.
Happy reading everyone!

In the beautiful Tinahely sunshine, a group of approx 40 walkers and 20 happy doggies arrived for our fundraising walk this morning. Conditions were perfect and everybody enthusiastically set off on the 4km route.
A massive thank you to everyone who supported us and to John Mullen who saw us off. Thank you also to Pádraig from the National Parks and Wildlife service for his help with the permit for the event.
We will share the final amount raised as soon as it is counted. You can still donate to this life changing charity by scanning the QR code on the flyer.
