Youth Group/Drama Project

A Youth Group will run on Thursdays from 27th Jan from 5:15pm - 6:30pm, in conjunction with Ozanam House Resource Centre, and is available to Mount Carmel students. There will also be a 6 week drama project, run in conjunction with the Gaiety, suitable for 1st years. Any Mount Carmel students interested please speak to Mr Dermody.

Wonderful to see our school feature on the front page of the Irish Independent with Katherine Donnelly. The inside article follows 4 students from last year who went on to study Pharmacy (Róisín Tang) in RCSI, Global Business (Anna Lelaleshvili) in Trinity, Chemistry (Berneed 'Osas' Obayagbona) and A Bachelor of Science (Hayley Dowling) in Maynooth. With 73% of students going into 3rd level last year, Mount Carmel is so proud of all our students achievements.

The Department of Education have asked all schools to share the link on their website to videos in the following languages: English, Irish, Sign Language, Lithuanian, Polish, Portuguese and Romanian on students not attending school if they have symptoms. Dear Parents/Guardians, I want to wish our Mount Carmel School Community a Happy New Year! It is a challenging start to the new term, with high case numbers, however, we will be open and ready to return to school tomorrow January 6th. Please note we will have no Canteen on Thursday/Friday 6th/7th 2022 due to staff shortages with our provider. So students must bring their own lunches. This also means breakfast club will not run on these two days. Can I please ask parents and guardians if your child has any symptoms of Covid-19: high temperature, dry cough, fatigue, cold/flu like symptoms please keep that child at home and arrange a covid-19 test. I have attached an infograph which may be helpful. We will remind students about hand hygiene and wearing their own masks.
