To alleviate any fears arising from social media last night: A message was written on a toilet wall yesterday in a few students' plan to close the school, similar to the incident in Kilcock a few weeks ago. We investigated immediately & dealt with all students concerned. By 3pm yesterday we were 100% certain that it was a harmless prank. Very few of the student population were aware of the incident while in school. However, Social Media later blew the incident out of all proportion. I would like all families to know that IF I WAS IN ANY DOUBT that anyone was in danger, all necessary steps would have been taken in the interests of health and safety. However, this was never the case. We did not put out any unnecessary messages at that time due to the sensitivity and rights of those concerned. Finally, I would like to assure all of our school community that any threat to the health and safety of our students is always taken very seriously and dealt with appropriately.

Dear Parent/Guardian, I'm delighted to invite you to your son's Transition Year Entertainment Night on Tuesday 19th Dec 2016 at 7.30pm. The show will incorporate a mixture of fun quiz shows, improvised comedy and a rehearsed reading of Thomas Dunne's play 'A Brother'. Congratulations also to Adam Duffin, William Oxley, Niall Carey and Craig Jordan who were awarded with gold medals in their speech and drama exams. Apologies for the mixup of incorrect names mentioned in previous notification. Well done to every single student for undertaking this exam which involved reciting poetry and presenting an improvised speech. Your sons are a credit to you. Hope to see you Tuesday. Le Meas, Evelyn Quinlan
